Fire HD versions of Amazon are latest tablets with many new features. You need to do initial setup when you first time configure it and it also needs to be connected to your WiFi while the setup is on.
There is a strange issue with Amazon Fire HD 8 kids edition while initial setup and specifically on adding your child's profile. It gives error mentioning "Error Adding Child. There was an error creating this profile. Please try again."
First of all you need to make sure that your WiFi connection is on and connected to the Amazon Fire HD 8 device. The 'Error Adding Child. There was an error creating this profile. Please try again." error is due to the fact that your Amazon account is configured with the profile of a country which is different from the country in which you have bought and using the device. Eg. Your country is 'India' in your Amazon account profile while you have bought or are configuring the Amazon device in United Kingdom.
You will need to go to your Amazon Profile from a different device(laptop, mobile) and need to update your country location to the country in which you have bought or the country from where you are configuring the device to add a child profile.

I have an HD 7 amd I added my first child just fine. It is not letting me add my second. Says error adding this user to this device. Why?
